Chris has significant hands-on experience as CEO, financial director and entrepreneur in the fast-moving media and technology sectors.
Prior to co-founding Knowledge Peers he was CEO at Ovum plc, a global ICT advisory business with a blue chip client base of Fortune 500 companies and governments, which was acquired by Datamonitor plc in December 2006 for £45 million.
During his nine years with the business, Chris grew Ovum from an underperforming, loss making, £8m turnover company to a successful £30m turnover, £3m profit organisation with a robust contract order book. As well as presiding over a share price which trebled over 3 years, overseeing a number of acquisitions and steering the business to a successful IPO in 2006, he also successfully guided Ovum through a major technology market downturn, achieving significant business turnaround with subsequent profitable growth.
Chris's other interests including acting as mentor and advisor to CEOs of a number of small businesses, and he is a regular speaker at industry conferences, including the 2006 Global Technology forum in Seoul. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Economic History from Durham University.
